Competition Clutch Lightweight Steel Flywheels (ST suffix) are recommended for naturally aspirated and/or street-driven applications. This flywheel preserves low-end torque and driveability. Well-suited for Gravity, Stage 1, and Stage 2 clutch applications. Made of 4140 forged steel and are a one-piece design. Not all applications have the ST and STU versions available. Flywheel weights vary from 8lbs to 18lbs depending on application.
Break-In Procedure
After you install your new Competition Clutch you will want to make sure that the clutch is properly broken in for ultimate operation. To break in your clutch, shift as often as possible during the first 500 miles, by doing so you will make sure that the material from the disc is embedded into the friction surfaces of the pressure plate and flywheel.
