Maximize Engine Response & Acceleration in Your VQ35DE

Unleash your engine's true potential with the Competition Clutch Ultra Lightweight Steel Flywheel (Part # 2-350Z-STU). Weighing in at just 13.89 lbs, this flywheel is engineered to drastically reduce rotational inertia, delivering the instantaneous throttle response and rapid revving capabilities that competitive drivers demand.

Why Upgrade to the Competition Clutch STU Flywheel?

  • Engineered for Racing: Highly recommended for forced induction setups (turbo/supercharged), circuit racing, drift, and rally applications.
  • Bulletproof 4140 Forged Steel: CNC-machined from a single piece of premium chromoly steel. Unlike multi-piece aluminum flywheels, this one-piece design eliminates the risk of ring-gear separation or warping under intense thermal stress.
  • High-Clutch Compatibility: Engineered to pair perfectly with Stage 3, Stage 4, and Stage 5 clutch kits to handle aggressive torque loads.
  • SFI Safety Certified: Built to withstand extreme RPMs and demanding track conditions without compromising safety or reliability.

Whether you are building a boosted street machine or shaving seconds off your track times, this premium ultra-lightweight steel flywheel ensures your Nissan 350Z snaps into the powerband faster than ever before.

Break-In Procedure

After you install your new Competition Clutch you will want to make sure that the clutch is properly broken in for ultimate operation. To break in your clutch, shift as often as possible during the first 500 miles, by doing so you will make sure that the material from the disc is embedded into the friction surfaces of the pressure plate and flywheel. Following the break-in procedure will ensure that your clutch has the longest possible lifespan. If you have any questions, please reach out to our tech department and we will be happy to help.
